thx a lot Chris... i have to got back to these colors a little, and figures in landscapes..;cuz it's 6 months i changed my palette a bit and got a too much "abstract" touch i think. (this painting here was made in 2005).
Talking about Cecily Brown, she works more with a "puzzled" process even if she used to do things like "Performance" , a painting done in 1999 i think (i think this brown is my favourite painting of all times with the bacon's red pope (which exact title n year...i ll check)... (see my respect for her art? see?)...
Very visceral and emotive work, full of emotion, and organic decomposition. I like how the human figure turned out, I cann see this image for a whole day and do not get tired of it...it's like it has somewhat I cannot explain...I'm trying to find wors to describe what I feel looking at this but it seems I'm unable to do that...I'm speechles!
But what I can say is that I see really really interesting the fact that with inmediate oils you have reached a dregree of volume unbelieveable, there'er a lot of details to be discovered and enjoyed.
I'm glad this was featured as DD...lately we cannot see many good pieces as this featured. Many congrats! You deserve it!
This is amazing. It is wonderful you got a DD, this deserves to be seen. The texture, the strokes, wow. It's rare to see something so raw but subtle, and beautiful, that seems kind of familiar (the background, it reminds me of the deserted area in my town, it's a wonderful contrast to the subject) but at the same time strange and definitely visceral.
this is just amazing. the tones and colors are great, and everything just seems to fit so well. lovely style. a definite . oh, and an early congrats on your DD!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Whip out that smile.
Give it a flash.
Blind those masses.
Dazzle them sightless.
In that Kingdom,
You're Queen.
